Work at Catalysr: At Catalysr, a leading startup accelerator, I served as a mentor, providing pro-bono expertise to empower our migrapreneurs—migrant and refugee entrepreneurs—to launch their own startups and social enterprises. Our impactful work in fostering innovation and inclusion was recognized by Sir Peter Cosgrove, highlighting the vital role Catalysr plays in building a better and more inclusive Australia.

Work at UNSW - Academic Success Monitor Project

I was a key contributor to the Academic Success Monitor (ASM) at UNSW. Academic Success Monitor (ASM) has been chosen as a winner of the 2024 Gartner Eye on Innovation (EOI) Award for Education, an award that recognises innovative use of technology to drive best-in-class initiatives (click here for more information on the Gartner EOI Award).  The ASM has also received Gold for Oceania in the Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) Reimagine Education Awards for the AI in Education category and has been interviewed for a UNESCO-IITE Digital Education Impact Case Study. At the Microsoft Higher Education Summit in October 2024, Professor Simon McIntyre and PVCSS Leah Hill presented UNSW's Support for Students Vision and Academic Success Monitor (ASM) to strong interest from Australian university representatives. This recognition highlights the innovative use of machine learning to identify at-risk students earlier in the teaching period, allowing for timely, personalized AI-driven support. " The project not only enables real-time, comprehensive analysis of student engagement and risk, but also goes beyond traditional methods by employing preditive analytics and GenAI to proactively address issues before they escalate. This proactive, personalised approach significantly enhances student support, setting a new standard in the educational sector."
